Jet is the UK retail brand of Phillips 66, and its forecourts have a reputation for keen pricing without the marketing spend of the larger oil companies. The network is concentrated in the north of England, the Midlands and parts of Scotland rather than spread evenly across the country.
Most Jet sites are dealer-operated, so as with Texaco the price is set locally. Where Jet competes with a supermarket the two tend to track each other closely, and Jet will often undercut the other oil majors in the same town.
The brand keeps things simple: standard unleaded and diesel at most sites, with fewer premium grades than BP or Shell. For drivers who just want the cheapest fill and do not need a large shop attached, that focus tends to show up in the price.
